Other Issues in Media and Society


 Good day reader, this is an additional entry to this blog, which will include reccomendations on what to give your attention to, after you are finished with my blog. The follwoing reccomendations are blogs focusing on other either very interesting/very important issues in media and society with my short summary of what blog consists of and why you should take a sneak peak at it.

1. Violence in Drill Rap Music by Nikolai Meissnest - The first blog i would like you to visit is something that will influence most of people nowadays, Music, is a great force in changing and setting our mood/emotions/inner ideas/attitude. The idea of the influence of Music is always a good and interesting topic to discuss, this topic heavily focuses on particular subgenre of Rap, Drill Rap and the authors view on effects it causes, does it caus the listener to inact violence or not. Additionaly i would like to reccomend a post "Extra" in the blog, how a phenomenon such as Squid Game, a Netflix Tv series affected in a way the one of the Drill Rap creators.

2. Impact of TikTok on Society by Liliya Sabitova - TikTok has become over a short time one of the main sources of media consumtion by users, that goes on par with the giant such as Instagram. Author focuses on the impact it has on society and how it affects teenagers, the author implies that there is no clear answer on the fact of the actual positive or negative impact, however if you would like to be introduced to the idea of TikTok, this blog would be a good start.

3. Problems of New Media and The Art Industry by Andrea Mejia Salgado - Art, is another force that has been always present through humankind history, the way it affects human in either positive or negative way is what art about from my point of view, the inspiration, the thought provoking art pieces, art in almost every of its instances if beautiful and phenomenal, Author focuses on exposing the relationship between media and art, and whether is it positive or negative you can find out by reading the blog.

4. FOMO: Our Strongest Enemy by Evgenia Solomkina - FOMO, Fear of Mising Out, which refers to the belief that others are doing better, having more fun, and being happy than they are. Author shares her opinion on the fact that this problem has been following society from the beggining of human history. Experiencing this phenomenon and the effects of it on society is what the author exposes through the posts, negative consequences of FOMO, and how the fear might be a force to make a person act.

5. The Misleading Statistics in Media by Artem Skripnik - Last but not least, is something every person has experienced once in their life, consumption of some sort of fake information in the media, the factor of fake statistics in media/news, is not exactly new to some of the audience, however the infromation provided by the author brings new facts to the topic and the approach towards the issue of statistics is very informative and somewhat truth-revealing, this final reccomendation should get as much attention as all 4 previous, for some of the readers who are interested in the fact of statistics being a tool in business the blog would be slightly more interesting.
