How scientists utilize or may utilize social media to convey their findings is an intriguing topic in the field of science communication right now. This covers the function of social media in enabling sharing of information both internally and among scientific communities, as well as outside for public reach. Authors study gives a result base upon how 587 scientists from a wide range of academic disciplines, but primarily the biologics, utilize social media to communicate internally and externally. Statistics in the article show that, while social media use is still in its primitve state, scientists from a wide range of disciplines use social media platforms to share scientific knowledge, most commonly via Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, or blogs.
